Sentry
Connect Sentry and your assistant can inspect your error tracking and performance data — issues, events, stack traces, spans, releases, and projects — so debugging context is available without leaving Town.
What it is (and isn’t)
- It’s primarily for inspection. Your assistant works with your Sentry data — issues, events, traces, and releases. Sentry’s hosted tools also include some write actions (like updating issues or creating projects), so use approval-required tool settings where changes matter.
- It brings production context into your work — error summaries, regression checks, and release health alongside your code and conversations.
How to connect
- Go to Integrations and find Sentry
- Click Connect and authorize Town
- Return to Town
What it’s great for
- Search and inspect issues — find the issue behind a bug report
- Review events, stack traces, and spans — dig into exactly what failed
- Inspect organizations, projects, and releases — check release health
- Debug production errors and regressions — pull error context into a conversation or routine
Good to know
- Sentry’s hosted integration exposes both read and write tools — require approval in routines if you want to prevent changes to your Sentry projects or issues.
- Your assistant only sees the organizations and projects your Sentry account can access.
- Pairs well with GitHub for connecting errors to code changes.
