Connect Jira and your assistant can work with your issues and projects — searching with JQL, reading issue details and comments, and creating, assigning, commenting on, and transitioning issues.
What’s included
With Jira connected, your assistant can:
- Find issues — search with JQL, get issue details, and list issue comments
- See your projects — list all projects and look up users
- Move work forward — create issues, assign them, add comments, and transition issues between statuses
Connecting Jira
- Go to Integrations
- Find Jira and click Connect
- Authorize Town in Atlassian (sign in when prompted)
- Return to Town
Your assistant is limited to the projects your Jira account can access. You can revoke access anytime from your Atlassian account settings.

Good to know
- Issue changes are visible to your whole project — use approval-required tool settings in routines that create, assign, comment, or transition.
